We are pleased to share that construction for Banjo’s Bakery Café has commenced at Fairfield & Co, GEON’s flagship retail and lifestyle precinct in Townsville. This significant development brings us closer to enhancing our vibrant community with additional exceptional food and beverage options.

At Bielby, we’re not just about construction; we’re about making a positive impact. That’s why we’re excited to dive into this project. Here’s what we’re up to:
- Constructing 40km of access track, to facilitate windfarm component deliveries;
- Constructing 41 hardstands for Wind Turbine Generators;
- Building 41 Turbine gravity foundations;
- Upgrading a 5km stretch of public road;
- Creating 9 site entrances; and

The Queensland government-owned electricity utilities will install the state’s first “community-scale” big battery, with a 4MW/8MWh Tesla battery to be built in Townsville later this year.

New Rockhampton Shopping Centre
SMCE supported WHF Building Contractors in the design, construction and supervision of a $7m mixed retail development at 28 Main Street, Rockhampton, for the accomplished Central Queensland developer Powercat Group.
Construction Takes Place in PNG
SMCE were the structural engineers on the Curtain Brothers built multi-storey government office building. Located in the highlands of PNG is one of three buildings that will be built for the local province of Hela. Structural steelwork has been erected and floor slabs are in the process of being poured.
